Editorial Standards
Loopliner is an independent digital publication covering the global house music and electronic music scene. These standards govern how we research, write, edit, and publish every piece of content on this site.
Our Mission
Our mission is to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful coverage of house music, techno, and electronic music culture to readers worldwide. We aim to amplify artists, document the scene, and serve as a trusted resource for fans, DJs, promoters, and industry professionals.
We believe great music journalism serves the community it covers. That means holding ourselves to high standards of accuracy, being transparent about our processes, and correcting mistakes promptly when they occur.
Editorial Independence
Loopliner's editorial decisions are made entirely independently of commercial relationships. Advertisers, sponsors, and promotional partners have no influence over our coverage decisions, article angles, or editorial tone.
- Sponsored content is always clearly labeled as "Sponsored" or "Partner Content" and is visually distinct from editorial articles.
- Press releases and artist submissions are treated as source material only. Stories based on press releases are independently verified and rewritten in our editorial voice.
- Free tickets, guest list access, or products accepted for review purposes are disclosed within the relevant article.
- Commercial relationships with labels, promoters, or brands are disclosed wherever they are relevant to coverage.
Fact-Checking Process
Every article published on Loopliner goes through an editorial review process before publication:
- Primary sourcing: Writers are required to cite at least one primary source (official artist statements, label announcements, official event pages) for all factual claims.
- Cross-verification: Key facts — dates, names, venues, and release details — are cross-referenced with at least one independent source where possible.
- Editor review: All articles are reviewed by an editor before publication for accuracy, fairness, and compliance with these standards.
- Timely updates: Breaking news articles may be published with the information available at the time and updated as additional details emerge. Updates are timestamped and noted at the top of the article.
Corrections Policy
We are committed to correcting errors promptly and transparently. If you believe an article contains an error, please contact us using the link below.
- Minor corrections (typos, spelling, punctuation) are fixed silently without a formal notice.
- Factual corrections are noted at the bottom of the article with the date of correction and a brief description of what was changed.
- Significant corrections that affect the substance of an article are also noted prominently at the top of the piece.
- We do not unpublish articles to hide errors — corrections are made in place with full transparency.
