Asia Music Week Launches in Chonburi, Four Days Before Tomorrowland's Thailand Debut

A four-day trade summit called Asia Music Week just staked out a date: December 7 to 10, 2026, in Chonburi, Thailand. The strange part: no organizer has put a name to it. No venue, no speakers, no ticket link. Just a logo and a date that lands four days before Tomorrowland opens the gates on its first-ever Thailand edition, in the same province.

The dates check out across two independent industry outlets that broke the story within hours of each other on September 28. The stated philosophy is "Meet. Connect. Create," four days of talks, panels, networking, artist and brand activations, and showcases built around the topics that keep festival promoters awake at 3am: streaming economics, artist development, festival operations, technology and how to crack a new market. The summit names eight focus markets: Thailand, China, Japan, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Vietnam and Singapore.

No further detail follows. The launch announcement is, structurally, a logo and a date.

The Timing Isn't Random

Asia Music Week wraps on December 10. Four days later, Tomorrowland opens its first full-scale Asian edition at Wisdom Valley in Bang Lamung, the same Chonburi province, running December 11 to 13. It has capacity for up to 50,000 people a day across more than six stages, including the CORE and FREEDOM stages making their Asian debut, with Swedish House Mafia and Martin Garrix headlining alongside a Thai bill that includes producer BOTCASH, confirmed for the main stage after Tomorrowland Thailand's own announcement.

Park a business summit in the same province four days before the biggest electronic music brand in the world holds its first Asian show, and every festival exec, agent and journalist flying in for Tomorrowland now has a reason to land early. No organizing company, no headline speakers, no confirmed labels or partners, no ticket price, no venue beyond the word "Chonburi." For something billing itself as the region's new industry meeting point, that's a lot left blank with barely two months on the clock. Asia Music Week's own site lists a URL and the four-day span. Nothing else.
