Folamour is having one of his biggest years yet. New EP Danse Mediterranee drops May 21st, a viral elevator set just landed in Chicago, five hour marathon shows are confirmed across Europe, and his summer tour is stacked with unmissable dates. Here's everything happening right now.

If you have been sleeping on Folamour, 2026 is the year that wakes you up.

The Lyon born French artist Bruno Boumendil has spent over a decade building one of the most distinctive and quietly brilliant careers in electronic music. And right now everything he has been working toward is coming together at once. A brand new EP, marathon live sets, major festival bookings, and a summer schedule that puts him on some of the most beautiful stages in Europe.

Who He Is And Why He Matters

Folamour first gained recognition with his debut EP Deeply Rooted Vibes around 2014, marking the beginning of a career in house music built on a blend of house grooves, disco textures, and emotional depth. What set him apart from the beginning was not just his ear for a groove but his background as a trained musician. Formally trained on drums, bass, guitar, and percussion and having worked with Lyon's National Orchestra across projects ranging from pop to jazz, his music is always infused with a rich musicianship that makes his output romantic, poetic, and emotionally lasting.

Since his first album in 2017 Folamour has accumulated over 170 million streams across all platforms, with individual tracks reaching over 20 million streams on Spotify alone, and his sound has taken him to the biggest international festivals including Tomorrowland, Glastonbury, and Coachella. For an artist whose roots are firmly in the underground, that kind of reach is a testament to just how universally his music connects.

In April 2025 he released Ca Va Aller, a single that captured everything that makes Folamour so hard to ignore. Warm, deeply felt, and built on the kind of groove that stays with you long after the track ends. It set the tone for everything that has followed since and pointed directly toward the next chapter of his story.

What's New In 2026

Following the release of his album Movement Therapy in 2025, Folamour announced a series of five hour marathon set performances for 2026. Five hours. That is not a DJ set. That is a statement. It is an invitation to surrender completely to the music and trust the person behind the decks to take you somewhere you have never been. Folamour has always been that kind of artist and the marathon format suits him perfectly.

And then there is the new EP. Danse Mediterranee drops on May 21st, written alongside his brother Leon Phal and featuring Brazilian artist Flavia Coelho and Wolfgang Valbrun. A collaborative project written with family, featuring two artists from completely different musical worlds, released right at the start of summer. It has all the ingredients of something truly special and May 21st can't come fast enough.

Then there's Boomtown. Boomtown revealed its heavyweight second wave for its 2026 edition Chapter 5 Radical Redesign with Folamour named as one of the key additions alongside DJ EZ, SBTRKT, Kae Tempest, and Peaches, with dance music sitting firmly at the heart of the announcement. Getting placed in that company on that kind of bill tells you everything about where he sits in the current landscape.

The 2026 Summer Tour

Folamour is taking his 2026 summer tour across 11 countries with 25 dates locked in.

The confirmed dates for the rest of the year are the kind that make you want to book flights immediately. Folamour is currently touring across five countries with nine upcoming concerts. Here's where he is headed:

Forbidden Fruit Festival in Dublin on May 31. A solo outdoor show in Madrid at Parque Enrique Tierno Galvan on June 28. Porto on June 27. Lisbon on July 3. Bristol at Sawmills on July 18. Saint Jean de Luz in France on August 12. London's Victoria Park on August 31. And a headline show at Grande Salle La Laiterie in Strasbourg on October 10 to close out the year.

Why You Need To Pay Attention

Folamour does not chase trends. He never has. His 2019 Boiler Room set is still shared and talked about years later as one of the most joyful and alive performances ever captured in that format. The smile, the bucket hat, the pure unfiltered love for the music. It was all there and it has never gone away. The Chicago elevator set carries that same energy. A small space, a tight crowd, and music that fills every corner of the room.

In a landscape where so much electronic music feels built for algorithms and streaming playlists, Folamour is the rare artist who still makes music primarily for the room. For the people. For the feeling you get when a track drops and suddenly everything else disappears.

2026 is shaping up to be one of his biggest years yet. The marathon sets are coming, the summer dates are live, and the music keeps getting better. Go find your nearest date and be in that room.
