Gottwood 2026: The Welsh Woodland Festival That Refuses to Sleep

5 min read

Gottwood turns fifteen in June 2026 and the Welsh woodland is about to go fully unhinged. John Talabot, Eris Drew b2b Octo Octa, Gene On Earth, Sally C, Nicolas Lutz and about sixty other reasons to cry on a dance floor are all confirmed. Oh and they got a 24 hour licence this year so the party literally does not stop. Five thousand people, one ancient forest, zero bad taste in music. Your summer plans just sorted themselves.

Four in the morning, ancient woodland in Anglesey, Wales, five thousand people who all somehow have impeccable taste in music, and a DJ playing a deep house record so perfectly chosen that you actually consider crying in front of random strangers. That is Gottwoood. That has always been Gottwood. And in June 2026, this mystical little woodland rave turns fifteen years old, which means this year's edition is about to go crazy in the best possible way.

The Festival and What to Expect

Gottwood Festival runs from Thursday 11th to Sunday 14th June 2026 at the Carreglwyd Estate in Anglesey, North Wales. The estate is essentially what would happen if a fairytale and a techno club had a baby and raised it on a diet of vinyl records and woodland air. The festival caps attendance at just 5,000 people, which in festival terms is practically a dinner party. There is a stage called the Trigon, a lakeside stage called the Lighthouse, a Barn, a Walled Garden, and a main stage called the Curve that fits over a thousand people. Every single one of these spaces has its own personality and all of them will absolutely change you in the most wonderful sense of the word.

The Trigon has been making people lose their sense of time for fifteen years and it is not stopping now.

The 24 Hour Licence

Gottwood Festival has been granted a 24 hour licence for 2026, meaning that for the first time in the festival's fifteen year history, music will be running around the clock across select stages. No more watching the sun come up and feeling sad because the DJ has to stop. No more the best set of the weekend getting cut off right when it reaches peak transcendence. The party simply continues. The woodland doesn't close. Your body gonna suffer, but your soul is going to flourish.

24 hour licence secured. The music does not stop. Your sleep schedule does not survive. Worth it.

The House Music Lineup

The 2026 lineup reads like someone sat down with a very long list of the best selectors in underground dance music and just said yes to all of them.

John Talabot is on the bill and if that name doesn't already make you feel something in your chest then please go Google him immediately and report back. The Barcelona based DJ and producer crafts a sound that floats between deep house, Balearic warmth, and disco rooted electronics in a way that feels like being wrapped in a very well produced blanket.

Eris Drew and Octa Octa are performing back to back and this booking alone is worth a story on your Instagram. Both artists make house music that feels like it has feelings, like it went to therapy and came out glowing. Their sets are joyful, euphoric, and rooted in the tradition of Chicago house in a way that hits somewhere deep. Together in the Welsh woods at whatever hour this ends up being, this will be a moment people talk about for years.

Gene On Earth is confirmed and if you know, you know. If you don't know, you about to. Hands down, one of the most respected selectors in contemporary underground culture, Gene On Earth plays deep and immersive house music with the kind of emotional intelligence that makes you stare at the middle distance and question your entire life in a positive way.

Sally C brings her precise and groove heavy selections Anglesey, Dan Shake arrives with his love of raw sample driven house that pays respect to the genre's roots, and Nicolas Lutz will do what Nicolas Lutz always does, which is play records in a sequence so perfectly constructed that time simply stops functioning correctly.

Mella Dee, Samuel Deep, Jennifer Loveless, Paula Tape, Call Super, and Roza Terenzi round out what is one of the strongest concentrations of house music talent at any UK festival this year. Jennifer Loveless, Doudou MD, Paquita Gordon, and Christian AB will all be playing Gottwood for the very first time, which means even the regulars are getting something new to write home about.

Sixty selectors, one ancient woodland, and a lineup so good it should come with a warning label. Gottwood 2026 is not here to play, except it literally is, for four days straight.

Getting There and What You Need to Know

Gottwood 2026 is strictly 18 and over, tent camping only, and tickets sell out at a speed that should be considered a public health emergency. Fifteen years of this festival existing is fifteen years of proof that Gottwood does something rare, putting the music and the community first and letting everything else follow. If you love house music and being in a forest at unreasonable hours listening to records played by people who have given their entire lives to this craft, then your June is already sorted.

The woods are calling. The DJ is already warming up. You already know what's up.
