KX5 Brings Electronic Music To The World, the collaborative project of Kaskade and Deadmau Joel Zimmerman, will headline one of the FIFA Fan Festival Vancouver's two signature concert experiences on Friday, July 17, 2026 at the PNE's Freedom Mobile Amphitheatre.

The ticketed signature concert on July 17 with KX5 and special guests represents one of only two paid ticketed events at the festival, alongside Mötley Crüe on July 12. The 28-day festival runs June 11 to July 19, 2026 at Hastings Park, transforming the venue into Canada's largest live music destination during the tournament. The show marks a rare Canadian appearance for the duo, who released their self-titled debut album in 2023 and have since become one of electronic music's most celebrated live acts.

Kx5 is the collaborative project of two of electronic music's most influential figures: Kaskade (Ryan Raddon) and deadmau5 (Joel Zimmerman). The duo's partnership dates back to 2008 with the classic track "I Remember," but it wasn't until 2022 that they formalized the collaboration under the Kx5 moniker.

Their self-titled debut album, released in 2023, featured collaborations with Hayla, The Kid LAROI, and Elderbrook, and spawned hits including "Escape" and "Alive." The duo has since performed at major festivals including Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, and their own sold-out stadium show at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in 2023.

KX5 being selected as one of only two signature concert experiences at the FIFA Fan Festival shows the institutional position electronic music has achieved globally. For Vancouver house heads, this marks a rare opportunity to see the duo perform in their home country, deadmau5 is Canadian, and the show carries added significance as a homecoming of sorts.

The Venue

PNE Amphitheatre: a brand-new, state-of-the-art outdoor venue located within Hastings Park in East Vancouver. The amphitheatre serves as the primary entertainment hub for the FIFA Fan Festival, which transforms the PNE grounds into a World Cup celebration space for up to 25,000 fans daily.

The FIFA Fan Festival is expected to draw visitors from across Canada, the United States, and internationally. The Kx5 show will be part of a global celebration that extends well beyond the electronic music community. While both Kaskade and deadmau5 tour extensively, Kx5 performances remain relatively rare. This is one of the duo's only confirmed Canadian dates for 2026.

For house and techno fans on the West Coast, Kx5 at the FIFA Fan Festival Vancouver on July 17 is a can't-miss event. The pairing of two electronic music icons, the brand-new outdoor venue, and the energy of the World Cup celebrations combine to create something genuinely special. Tickets go on presale March 31. Given the duo's popularity and the limited capacity of the ticketed section, early registration is strongly recommended.
