Secure your spot now
Every summer there is one festival that reminds you just how big and how beautiful this whole thing can get. In August 2026 that festival is Untold.
On August 6 through 9, Cluj-Napoca becomes the epicentre of music, hosting the greatest Untold experience ever crafted under the name Untold One. This year marks the 11th edition of Romania's biggest and best music festival, officially named Untold One to celebrate a brand new decade of music. Four days, multiple stages, hundreds of thousands of people, and a lineup that covers everything from house and techno to pop, hip hop, and beyond. This isn't just a festival. This isn't an event.
What Is Untold And Why It Matters
If Untold isn't already on your radar, here is why it should be. Untold Festival is the largest electronic music festival in Romania, taking place at Cluj Arena in Cluj-Napoca, held annually and designated Best Major Festival at the European Festival Awards 2015.
The festival spans genre including EDM, trance, techno, house, electro house, progressive house, pop, indie pop, hip hop, drum and bass, dubstep, reggae, jazz R&B, and soul. That isn't a genre list. That's a whole world crammed into four days in Transylvania.
The heart of Untold is the open air Cluj Arena where international superstar electronic headliners play sets until the sun comes up. The soul of the festival lives in Central Park, a shady expanse of trees and grass filled with hammocks, small stages, and art. Two completely different energies, both essential, both running simultaneously across the full four days.
In 2025 Untold drew an attendance of 470,000 people. That isn't a festival. That's a city.
The Lineup That Has Everyone Talking
The Phase 1 lineup for Untold 2026 was announced with Martin Garrix, Kygo, Sting, Carl Cox, and more confirmed for August 6 through 9 in Cluj-Napoca.
The confirmed artist lists includes Flo Rida, Kygo, Lewis Capaldi, Lost Frequencies, Marshmello, Gordo, Martin Garrix, Mestiza, R3HAB, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Aoki, Swae Lee, Tash Sultana, and The Chainsmokers. Sara Landry and Gramatik are also confirmed across the full festival programme.

There's something for everyone here and that is not a cliche. It's what Untold does better than almost any other festival in Europe. The main stage delivers the kind of global superstar moments that people travel from across the continent for, while the Galaxy Stage, Alchemy Stage, and Daydreaming Stage give the house and techno faithful exactly what they came for. Gordo alone is reason enough to book flights.

Sebastian Ingrosso to the festival alongside Steve Aoki and Lost Frequencies as part of a lineup completed by Tash Sultana and Mestiza, with more names to be announced in the coming period.
Why Transylvania Is The Perfect Setting
There is someting magical about a festival in Cluj-Napoca that no other European festival city can replicate. The architecture is stunning, the food is incredible, the people are warm and welcoming, and the city fully embraces the festival as one of the most important cultural events of the year. Local businesses, restaurants, and bars all open their doors to the hundreds of thousands of people who descend on the city every August and the result is a festival atmosphere that extends far beyond the venue gates.

The festival doesn't offer camping but the city of Cluj-Napoca is packed with hotels, hostels, and Airbnb options at every price point, making it one of the more accessible major European festivals to plan around. Getting there is easier than you might think. Cluj-Napoca has its own international airport with direct connections from across Europe and budget airlines run specific routes during the festival weekend every year.
Why 2026 Is The Year To Go
Untold Festival is currently ranked the third best festival in the world and the 2026 edition is being called the greatest Untold experience ever crafted. That's a big claim. Based on everything confirmed so far it's not a hard one to believe.
Four days. Four stages. A city that turns itself over completely to music every August. A lineup that has already confirmed some of the biggest names in electronic and pop music in the world right now. And a setting in the heart of Transylvania that makes every other European festival city feel ordinary by comparison.
Passes are available now at untold.com. More artist announcements are still coming. If you are planning a European summer trip and you haven't put Cluj-Napoca on your list yet, now is the time to fix that.
August 6 through 9. Romania is waiting for you.
