ARTBAT Are Playing Their First Singapore Show Inside a Dead Power Station
The Ukrainian duo behind Upperground make their long-overdue Singapore debut on October 17, inside a decommissioned power station Collective Minds is turning into a venue for the night.

Pasir Panjang Power Station stopped generating electricity sometime in the 1980s. On October 17, it starts up again for ARTBAT, the Ukrainian duo playing their first-ever Singapore show inside its old turbine hall.
Who's Actually Playing
ARTBAT is Artur Kryvenko and Vitaliy "Batish" Limarenko, two established Kyiv DJs who met in a club in 2014 and started making tracks together three months later. The first one, "Mandrake," got adopted by Richie Hawtin, who played it in nearly every set he did for a year. Four years after that, "Taboo" sat at No. 1 on Beatport's deep house chart for eleven straight weeks. By 2019 they'd won a DJ Award for Breakthrough Act and Mixmag's Stars of the Year. In 2021 they launched Upperground, the touring concept and label that's since filled a 22,000-capacity stadium in Warsaw. Southeast Asia already has a taste of that side of the project: ARTBAT brought Upperground to Malaysia as part of Sunset by NEON in June. Last October, DJ Mag put them at No. 73 on its 2025 Top 100 DJs list, their first year ever on the chart.
Why a Dead Power Station
Pasir Panjang Power Station went online in the early 1950s as one of the country's first big engines of electricity, then sat decommissioned for decades before event promoters started renting out its turbine hall: exposed steel trusses, sky-high ceilings, concrete that hasn't seen a coat of paint since the plant closed. It's hosted ambient listening nights and immersive audiovisual sets before, the kind of crowd that sits on picnic mats rather than dances.
An ARTBAT night will look nothing like that. Expect the trusses lit up in blue and the floor packed for their layered, cinematic build-and-drop techno instead of a seated crowd.
Who's Bringing Them In
Collective Minds, the promoter behind the booking, has spent over a decade flying international acts into Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Taiwan and Manila, most recently landing Charlotte de Witte and Sammy Virji in the city. ARTBAT is their biggest melodic techno get yet, and the timing isn't an accident: the duo's DJ Mag debut and a stadium-filling year for Upperground make this the moment to finally book them, not a random Tuesday slot.

General admission starts at $128, with VIP stage passes also available (Collective Minds hasn't published that price yet). Doors run 10pm to 3am on the 17th. It's a one-off, not a tour stop, so if you've been waiting to hear Upperground live, October 17 is the only date you get.
