The Lineup: What's Confirmed So Far

Over 300 emerging artists will perform during the festival, selected from more than 2,000 artist applications. This 300-artist lineup represents NXNE's largest edition in the festival's 31-year history. While NXNE spans multiple genres, several artists with electronic and house-leaning sounds have already been confirmed.
Electrokat: Electronic producer blending house, synth-pop, and electro
Desiire: Genre-fluid electronic artist with house and R&B influences
Grae: Toronto-based R&B and electronic artist with production leaning into house textures
Mopao Mumu: Afro-electronic fusion, brings organic rhythms to the dancefloor
Sankya: Electronic producer with deep, atmospheric soundscapes
Smacked Youth: Electronic project with house and techno influences
Truss: Industrial-tinged electronics, darker, club-ready music
Kurotek: Electronic producer blending techno and house elements
Bebe and Oona: Experimental electronic duo, genre-fluid, house-adjacent
NXNE's Signature Format
Unlike traditional festivals with a single site and fixed schedule, NXNE unfolds across the city. Here's how to approach it:
The 40/20 Rule: Every artist plays a 40-minute set followed by a 20-minute changeover . This format is designed to keep audiences moving between venues throughout the night.
Discovery Over Headliners: NXNE is not about stadium acts. It's about finding tomorrow's stars in rooms of 100-200 people. Some of the biggest names in music played early NXNE showcases before they broke through: Lizzo, Post Malone, Kaytranada, The Beaches, Billy Talent, and Daniel Caesar.
Multiple Venues, One Wristband: A festival pass grants access to all venues across all five days. There's no single stage you build your own schedule based on what you discover.
The Artist House: The NXNE Artist House at the Centre for Social Innovation (Queen and Spadina) serves as the festival's central hub, where artists, media, and industry professionals connect throughout the week.

Industry Programming for House Heads
NXNE's conference programming offers valuable networking and education opportunities.
Billboard Summit @ NXNE (TIFF Lightbox): Masterclasses and panels with global music leaders. Last year's edition featured a popular Deadmau5 session.
Next Level Panels (Two-day intensive): Covers touring, streaming, songwriting, and sync licensing, essential knowledge for any electronic artist looking to build a career.
Billboard Canada Power Players & Managers to Watch: Celebrates the country's most influential music executives and the managers behind breakthrough artists.
Canadian Sync Awards: Honors excellence in music supervision across film, television, and media, a growing revenue stream for electronic producers.

NXNE is not a house music festival. Let's be clear about that from the start. If you're looking for a weekend of non-stop four-on-the-floor, you'll find more targeted options elsewhere. The festival understands something that most genre-specific events don't: discovery is a muscle you have to exercise. When you only go to house clubs, you only hear house music. That sounds fine until you realize you've stopped being surprised. NXNE forces you out of your comfort zone. You wander into a venue because you liked the name on the schedule, and suddenly you're hearing something you've never heard before.
Each artist will perform NXNE's signature showcase format: 40-minute sets followed by 20-minute changeovers. This format allowed every artist gets equal time to showcase their talent. Audience are forced to move to explore except camp in one venue. For house music fans specifically, treat NXNE as a listening vacation.
