Grand Opening: Pacha New York Is Finally Back June 20
Pacha New York just announced their opening weekend and they booked Michael Bibi and Black Coffee. The dancefloor is back June 20.
If you followed what happened to the Brooklyn Mirage in 2025 then you already know this story has been a long time coming. The venue that was once the crown jewel of New York's outdoor electronic music scene spent the better part of last year in bankruptcy court, leaving thousands of ticket holders with unpaid refunds and a dancefloor that stayed dark when it should have been packed. That chapter is now closed. The Brooklyn Mirage is reopening in June 2026 under new management as Pacha New York, with its inaugural season beginning this summer and running through October. And the opening weekend lineup they just announced makes it very clear that whoever is in charge now means business.
Pacha New York opens over the weekend of June 20 and 21, with Michael Bibi headlining on June 20 and Black Coffee closing out the opening weekend on June 21. Two nights. Two of the most in-demand house music artists on the planet right now. First weekend. Zero messing around.

What actually happened to the Brooklyn Mirage
For anyone who missed the saga, here is the short version. An explosive financial crisis unfolded as the Mirage navigated operational setbacks, most notably contentious permit issues and safety inspection failures. Its owners ultimately ousted the embattled CEO and replaced him with new leadership. The venue went through bankruptcy proceedings throughout 2025, shows were cancelled, refunds were not issued, and one of New York's most beloved outdoor venues went completely quiet.
Dubai-based company FIVE Holdings has now entered into a long-term management agreement taking full operational control of the Brooklyn Mirage and Great Hall venues, partnering with The Pacha Group to recast the East Williamsburg compound as Pacha New York. Pacha is one of the oldest and most recognised nightlife brands in the world, born in Ibiza in 1967 and now operating across multiple continents. Bringing that legacy to the old Mirage site is a significant swing and the opening weekend lineup suggests they are not here to ease in gently.

Why the opening acts matter
The Pacha set is Michael Bibi's only current US date on the calendar outside of Chicago's ARC Music Festival in September. For Black Coffee, Pacha New York is the only US date on his current summer schedule. Read that again. Two of the most sought after house music artists working right now, both choosing the Pacha New York opening weekend as their exclusive US summer date. That is not a coincidence. That is a statement about what this venue is trying to become and who they called to help make that case.
Michael Bibi is the founder of Solid Grooves and one of the most consistently excellent selectors in underground house music. His sets are long, deep, and completely locked into the room. Black Coffee needs no introduction. The South African DJ and producer has spent the last decade becoming one of the most respected names in Afro house globally, turning a deeply specific regional sound into something that fills rooms on every continent. Having both of them open a new chapter for this venue is about as strong a first impression as anyone could have asked for.

What Pacha New York is trying to be
The goal is to bring together the recapitalized Avant Gardner's deeply rooted local legacy with Pacha's globally celebrated expertise in building culturally defining destinations. The result is Pacha New York, the next evolution of a brand shaped by more than 50 years at the forefront of dancefloor culture worldwide.
That is ambitious language but the receipts are starting to back it up. From June through October 2026, Pacha New York is planning world-class performances that place international headliners and homegrown talent on the same stage, promising shows rarely seen in New York City delivered with the production depth and ambition the culture deserves.
One more thing worth noting. The operators of Pacha New York have offered more than 3.1 million dollars in vouchers to unrefunded Brooklyn Mirage ticket holders. That is not a small gesture. That is the new management acknowledging that what happened last year was not okay and making a direct effort to fix it before the first night even opens. For a venue trying to rebuild trust with a community that felt burned, that matters.
New York's house music scene has been without its biggest outdoor stage for over a year. June 20 is six weeks away. Michael Bibi opens. Black Coffee closes the weekend. The dancefloor is coming back and it is coming back loud.
