Yanes has built something out of almost nothing in Hanoi: a party series called HUM, a studio under the same name, and Humane Bookings, the agency he runs with Ai Lien to move artists in and out of Vietnam. On October 17, that work puts him on the same bill as Croatian techno veteran Petar Dundov, who counts Jeff Mills among his supporters, at one of Tokyo's most respected clubs.

Date: Saturday, October 17, 2026, 11PM to 5:30AM Venue: VENT, Festae Omotesando Building B1F, Minami Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo Tickets: ¥3,000 advance with priority entry, ¥2,500 before midnight, ¥4,500 at the door, via Resident Advisor

Two Rooms, One Opening for Hanoi

The night is a joint booking between two of VENT's resident parties, LDG and Mind Off, and it splits down two rooms accordingly. Room 1 is the marquee: Dundov, a flagship artist on Belgium's Music Man label who has played Awakenings and Time Warp, tops a bill with Yama (fabric, Panorama Bar, Wonderfruit) and a back to back from LDG's Yuta and Mind Off's Dani Savant.

Room 2 is where the Vietnam connection sits. Yanes shares it with Shelly, Kirihhara and Raul, three names working variations on deep, driving techno. It's a support slot, not a headline, and nobody should pretend otherwise. It's also a concrete, if modest, sign that the scene Yanes has spent years assembling out of Hanoi can travel beyond it, after a rough stretch of raids and closures for the city's underground.

What Yanes Built to Get Here

HUM, short for Hanoi Underground Movement, is the umbrella Yanes uses for a three part push: the party series, HUM Studios, and a label that was still in the works the last time anyone wrote about it. Humane Bookings runs alongside, built to work in both directions, bringing niche international names into Vietnam and pushing homegrown ones like Yanes himself back out. "Connecting people is our core mission," he and Ai Lien said when they launched it. "We elevate local talent, introduce niche international artists to Asia, and showcase homegrown artists globally."

The line reads like a mission statement because it is one. A booking at a venue with VENT's reputation is the kind of proof a mission statement needs.

If You Go

VENT sits in a basement on the Omotesando strip in Minami Aoyama, a few minutes from the flagship stores. Doors are at 11PM and the night runs until 5:30AM, long enough to make the ¥1,500 gap between advance and door pricing worth doing the math on. Tickets are through Resident Advisor, and nights built around a name like Dundov tend not to leave much of a door allocation.
