The Best Beach Clubs for House Music in Bali, 2026

Finns Beach Club in Canggu has nineteen pools, fourteen bars and three dance floors packed onto 170 metres of oceanfront, and by 2pm on a Tuesday its resident DJs are three hours into their set. Bali's serious house music scene doesn't wait for the sun to go down anymore. It happens in daylight, with sand between your toes, hours before the island's night clubs even open their doors.

We already covered Bali's after-dark clubs, the Uluwatu clifftop rooms and the Canggu bars that keep going past 3am. This is the daytime half of the story: the beach clubs where the music policy is the whole point, not a footnote to the pool. Some of these are legitimate house and disco programming with real music directors. A few are glorified sunbed rental with a Spotify playlist wearing a DJ's name. Here's which is which.

Potato Head Beach Club, Seminyak

Potato Head is the one with actual pedigree. The DJ booth sits inside Klymax, the club-within-the-club that veteran selector Harvey helped design, and the guest list has included Theo Parrish and Peggy Gou. By day the sound leans Balearic, disco and soulful house through sunset; after dark it swings into techno, progressive house and funk depending on the night. This is also the venue that will host Dekmantel's Southeast Asia debut this September, which tells you where its programming ambitions sit relative to the rest of this list.

Open daily 11am to 11pm, with the crowd thickest between 4:30 and 7pm. Entry is free before 4:30, then a 250,000 rupiah cover kicks in that's fully redeemable against food and drink. A day bed will run you 3 to 4 million rupiah depending on size, which usually includes two bottles, so this is not a budget afternoon. It's Jalan Petitenget 51B, on Petitenget Beach, roughly 30 to 45 minutes from the airport depending on traffic.

Finns Beach Club, Canggu

Finns is the scale play. Nineteen pools, fourteen bars, three dance floors and 170 metres of Berawa beachfront, open daily from 11am straight through to midnight. Live DJs and vocalists run all day, with an in-house production studio turning out the venue's own resident sets rather than licensed playlists. Entry is free, and booking before 1pm gets you up to 50% off day beds, which is the one genuinely useful discount on this whole list.

The trade-off is obvious the second you walk in: Finns is enormous, and enormous means less curated than Potato Head. You're not going to get a Theo Parrish set here. What you get instead is volume, consistency and a party that never really has a dead hour, which is exactly why it's on the cover of this piece and not somewhere quieter.

Mrs Sippy, Seminyak

Mrs Sippy built its reputation on Bali's largest saltwater pool, a 6,000 square metre spread in central Seminyak, and it's the most honest about what it's actually selling. Music director Ryan Crowe put it plainly: "We are a daytime venue and we want to create a fun and chill atmosphere for our patrons. Our guests are all in their own zones, chilling on daybeds or by the pool." The house and disco run through a self-described "Glitterbox and Defected sound," with monthly Sneaky Saturdays bringing in guests from Australian duo Sneaky Sound System. Genres wander wider than pure house, hip hop and salsa show up too, so don't come expecting a wall-to-wall four-on-the-floor set.

Open 10am to 9pm daily, prices starting around 250,000 rupiah. Book ahead; walk-ins are a gamble with no guaranteed spot.

Karma Beach Club, Uluwatu

Karma is the detour. It sits inside the Karma Kandara resort in Ungasan and you reach the sand via a funicular cut into the cliff, which is either the best entrance on this list or a mild logistical headache depending on your patience. CNN Travel named it one of the World's 50 Best Beach Bars and Hello Bali magazine has called it the island's best beach club outright. International DJs play through the afternoon into a livelier, more glamorous night set across its three bars, Phoenix, Le Club 22 and Tiki. Karma doesn't publish set hours or entry pricing anywhere obvious, which is its own kind of message: this is a reservation-first, resort-guest-first operation, and if you're not staying at Karma Kandara, call ahead rather than showing up.

What didn't make the list, and why

A few names deserve a mention without a full write-up. Sundays Beach Club, also in Ungasan, runs DJs from 4pm into a daily sunset bonfire, but the programming is ambient and mood-driven rather than house-focused, more soundtrack than set. Savaya, the Uluwatu clifftop room that used to operate as the dayclub Omnia before its rebrand, is genuinely one of the island's best rooms for house and techno, but we've already covered it in depth as a night venue in our Bali club guide, and repeating it here would be padding. If You Go

These four sit in three different parts of the island, and Bali traffic does not care about your schedule. Seminyak to Canggu is 20 to 30 minutes by Grab outside peak hours, more like 45 during the afternoon crawl. Uluwatu is its own trip entirely, 45 minutes to over an hour from Seminyak depending on where exactly you're headed, so don't plan a Potato Head lunch and a Karma Beach sunset on the same day unless you enjoy sitting in cars.

Book day beds ahead everywhere except Finns, where you can often walk in outside peak season. Bring cash; card machines at beach clubs go down more often than you'd expect, and Karma in particular is remote enough that you don't want to be stuck without it. None of these venues are a substitute for an actual night out. Think of them as the warm-up: you're paying resort prices for a good sound system in daylight, then heading to Uluwatu or Canggu proper once the sun's down.
