The Chilean DJ Who Made Ibiza His Home and Never Looked Back
From classical violin training in Santiago to ANTS residencies at Ushuaia Ibiza, Francisco Allendes has spent 25 years building one of the most respected careers in underground house music. 2026 is his most exciting chapter yet and the summer has only just begun.
There are artists who get to Ibiza and disappear into the crowd. Then there are artists who get to Ibiza and become part of the furniture. Francisco Allendes is firmly in the second category and after 15 years on the island he's showing no signs of slowing down.
The Chilean DJ and producer has spent over two decades building one of the most consistent and respected careers in underground house and tech house music. In 2026 that career is hitting another gear entirely and the summer diary alone is proof of everything this man has earned.

The Violin Kid From Chile Who Became An Ibiza Institution
Francisco Allendes took his first steps in music tied to the violin and classical training, with his first key moment being violin lessons at the age of 8.
After eight years of classical training and performing with chamber orchestras and folkloric bands, Francisco discovered progressive rock and the sound of synthesizers at the age of seventeen. The synthesizer was his first contact with electronic instruments, which opened him up to a new world and motivated him to start researching for new sounds.
Everything changed again, in 2001 he purchased his first Technics and became a DJ, shortly after which he became part of the professional circle of Chilean DJs. Chile’s electronic scene in the early 2000s was small, tight, and fiercely passionate. Allendes was right in the middle of it from the start
From Santiago To The World
In 2005 Allendes moved to Zaragoza, Spain, where he collaborated with DJ and producer Iñigo Oruézabal on projects like Monomachine and Garlic, releasing music on European labels including Immigrant, Catwash, Paradigm, Kling Klong Records, and Underground Music.
Returning to his hometown in 2007, Allendes co-founded Andes Music, the first vinyl and digital record label based in Chile, aimed at promoting upcoming South American artists and helping solidfy his name within the flourishing tech house scene.
His career truly took off when he signed his first record with Cadenza in 2009. leading to a residency at the old Ushuaia, and a permanent move to Ibiza in 2010.
The Fiebre Amarilla World Tour in 2009 consecrated him on the world DJ platform and ever since he has been omnipresent in his home country Chile at Creamfields, Awakenings, Mysteryland, and Love Parade Festivals as well as on the world circuit at major events such as Tomorrowland, Medusa, MMW, BPM, ANTS, and Hyte.
The Sound And The Tracks That Define Him
Allendes has released music for some of the most prestigious labels in the techno and house scene including Desolat, Kaluki, VIVa Music, Cadenza, KMS, Snatch, and Crosstown Rebels, producing several hits of the tech and house scene.
The most recognisable being Caligula, Llovizna, Agility Queen, and Eres. His productions have been widely supported by some of the most influential DJs of our time with his sound shifting between synthetic house and techno grooves, always displaying flashes of organic rhythms and percussion.
Support for his productions has come from Carl Cox, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Luciano, and Damian Lazarus. In underground house music those names don't casually throw records into their sets. Every co-sign has to earn its place.
Years spent shaping Ibiza's underground culture eventually led to one of the biggest recognitions of his career when the DJ Awards named him Best Ibiza DJ in September 2019. For Allendes, it became one of the most meaningful achievements of his journey.
Carving His Own Lane With Canibales
By 2023 Allendes wasn’t just riding the underground house wave. He was carving out his own lane with Canibales, his personal label imprint. The debut single Pressure hit hard with percussive Latin‑inflected house, instantly sounding like a record built for Ibiza’s late night rooms and the European club circuit.

What started as a home for his own tracks quickly expanded into a small but focused catalogue, with releases such as Viva El Coyote and Intoxicated feeding directly into the same community driven parties he plays every summer. On Instagram @canibales_label now functions as both a label page and a mini events brand, tying together his music club dates and Ibiza centric community in one tight package.

Landing on the ANTS opening lineup in 2026 is no small achievement.

The Ibiza run continues on June 20 with another confirmed ANTS appearance at Ushuaia alongside Maceo Plex, Fleur Shore, and Joe Rolet. Three ANTS appearances before the season fully explodes says everything about the trust Ibiza promoters place in Francisco Allendes to deliver every single time.
