Where House DJs Go in the Summer: A 2026 Season Guide
Where Do Your Favorite House DJs Spend the Summer? A Look at the Festivals, Beach Clubs and Residencies That Define the Season
If you've been watching your favorite DJs' social feeds, you've probably noticed a pattern: June hits, and suddenly everyone is posting sunset videos from the same few places. This isn't random. The summer circuit for house music follows a predictable geography. Here's where most of them end up.
Ibiza
Ibiza remains the anchor. Almost every major house DJ takes at least one residency, and many take multiple.
Hï Ibiza - Black Coffee (Sundays), Damian Lazarus (Club Room), Vintage Culture
Pacha - Solomun, Marco Carola, Chris Stussy (USS), Bedouin (SAGA)
UNVRS - The new 10,000-capacity megaclub hosts David Guetta, Fisher, Peggy Gou
Amnesia - Joseph Capriati, Michael Bibi (Solid Grooves), Jamie Jones (Paradise)
European Festival Circuit
Between Ibiza weekends, DJs rotate through the continent's major festivals. The route is predictable:
Late June: Hideout (Croatia) and Glitterbox Ibiza (opening parties)
July: Tomorrowland (Belgium) two weekends, back-to-back. Almost every major house name plays one or both. Awakenings (Netherlands) anchors the techno side.
August: Creamfields (UK) and Les Plages Électroniques (Cannes) overlap; artists often play both in the same weekend.
No single artist plays all of these. But every artist plays three or four. The routing is efficient: Croatia to Netherlands to Belgium to UK to France to Croatia again.
North American Residencies
While Europe dominates June through August, North America has its own summer centers.
Las Vegas runs year-round but peaks in summer. XS Nightclub, Marquee, Hakkasan, and Zouk book most of the same names as Ibiza, just shorter sets and larger room capacities. John Summit, Fisher, Dom Dolla, and Vintage Culture all hold multiple Vegas dates per summer.
New York outdoor venues open in May and close in September. Elsewhere and Public Records handle smaller, deeper bookings.
Los Angeles spreads across Academy LA, Sound, and outdoor pop-ups. Many DJs who play San Francisco (Audio, Public Works) also route through LA.
Chicago summer weekend lineups at Smart Bar, Radius, and Cermak Hall pull national and international house acts between festival dates.
Asia
Asia's house season runs opposite Europe's. From December through February, DJs who summer in Ibiza play EDC Thailand (Phuket, December), S2O Songkran and Siam Songkran (Bangkok, April), Wonderfruit (Pattaya, December), Zamna to Phuket.
Club residencies in Bangkok (Sing Sing, Maggie Choo's), Singapore (Ce La Vi, Zouk), and Tokyo (Womb, Vent) fill midweek dates between festivals.
Summer touring patterns are one of the most searched topics among dance music fans planning trips around festivals and residencies. Where DJs choose to spend their summers says a lot about where house music culture is heading.
The biggest stages still matter, but increasingly, the most sought-after bookings happen in places that offer something beyond the dancefloor: a beach at sunset, a fortress overlooking the sea, a mountaintop open-air, or a club that feels more like a temporary home.
