DWP 2026 Books Axwell Λ Ingrosso and Dimitri Vegas for December's Return to Jakarta

Djakarta Warehouse Project waited exactly a month to show its hand. On August 12th it confirmed Galantis as the headliner for its return to Jakarta after a year in Bali. On September 12th, it dropped fourteen more names in one go, and this time the accent is on big-room muscle: Axwell Λ Ingrosso back together on a bill for the first time in Southeast Asia this year, Dimitri Vegas, Afrojack, R3hab, Alok, Cosmic Gate and Eli & Fur among them.

The Lineup Just Got Loud

The full first-phase roster, per DJ Mag: Afrojack, Billy Gillies, Lilly Palmer, Alok, Dimitri Vegas, Eli & Fur, Maddix, Axwell back to back with Sebastian Ingrosso, Dimension and Cosmic Gate, plus MaRLo, Tye Turner and SYBER. That is a very different register from August's opening move, which paired Galantis with three Indonesian names: Dipha Barus featuring KC Jones, Faktta b2b Greybox, and Iris Nova. Where the first announcement leaned on homegrown talent and festival-pop, this one is almost entirely mainstage EDM, the kind of names that headline Ultra and Tomorrowland's biggest stages.

Axwell Λ Ingrosso is the name that will get the most attention. One half of Swedish House Mafia, the duo split in 2018, reunited in 2022, and rarely turns up on Southeast Asian bills, their regional dates usually limited to Singapore or a one-off Bangkok stop. A DWP booking puts them on Indonesian soil in front of a crowd that has spent years watching them play everywhere else first.

A Festival Rebuilding Its Numbers

DWP's 2025 edition, held at Bali's GWK Cultural Park after the Jakarta venue fell through, pulled 70,000 attendees across its run and booked Calvin Harris, Skrillex, Charlotte de Witte and FISHER. That performance pushed the festival up nine places to No. 64 on DJ Mag's Top 100 Festivals poll for 2026, its best result in years. Coming home to JIEXPO Kemayoran, the venue that made DWP a fixture of the regional calendar long before Bali hosted it, is as much a statement as any name on the bill: organizer Ismaya Live is betting that a Jakarta crowd plus a mainstage-heavy lineup beats a beach location with fewer familiar names.

What's Still Missing

Organizers say more names are coming in the weeks ahead, and there is an obvious gap: nothing yet on the techno or house side to match what Bali's edition offered with Charlotte de Witte. If the second wave leans that way, DWP could end up with a genuinely two-sided bill instead of an EDM-heavy one. For now, the festival's own site lists the names above and nothing else, alphabetically, with no stage splits or set times announced.
