Circoloco. From the DC-10 Terrace to a Global Underground Empire
As the clown-face logo prepares for its 27th season at DC-10, we trace how a Monday morning after-party became one of the most powerful names in house and techno. From Ibiza to the Pyramids of Giza, here's everything you need to know about Circoloco heading into 2026.
As the clown-face logo prepares for its 27th season, we trace how a scrappy Monday morning after-party became one of the most powerful names in house and techno, and where it's heading next.
The Monday Morning Sessions
Before there were global tours, fashion collabs, or a record label backed by the makers of Grand Theft Auto, Circoloco was 80 people on a terrace near an airport runway.
The first Circoloco took place on a Monday in July 1999 at DC-10, a converted farmhouse near Ibiza's airport founded in 1989 by Spanish brothers Antonio "Sito" Lara and Deogracias Lara Moreno. Italian promoters Antonio Carbonaro and Andrea Pelino launched it as a free, no-frills after-hours party. Doors at sunrise, music until late afternoon, no advertising, no international headliners. Word spread fast. By the end of that summer, what was meant to be a low-key Monday morning gathering had become one of the island's best-kept secrets.
The concept was defiantly simple. Under the motto "No Soul For Sale," Circoloco rejected the mainstream commercialisation creeping into Ibiza. No champagne tables, no VIP booths, no over-the-top décor. Just raw underground house and techno, and the unmistakable roar of landing planes passing meters above the crowd.

Building the Church of Sound
Tania Vulcano was the first name ever printed on a Circoloco flyer, and she became its first true resident. Born in Uruguay and based in Ibiza, she brought a hypnotic blend of tribal house and minimal rhythms that defined the terrace sound for years. She's still known as the "First Lady of DC-10."
As the party grew from hundreds to thousands each Monday, a broader roster of selectors followed. Ricardo Villalobos, Loco Dice, Seth Troxler, The Martinez Brothers, Tale of Us, Black Coffee, Damian Lazarus, The Blessed Madonna, among many others. These weren't just bookings. Circoloco functioned as a proving ground where emerging artists could build reputations through extended, unscripted sets. The brand's curation strategy has always privileged selectors over spectacle, long sets over flashy production.
The Global Expansion
What started at the end of an Ibiza runway now touches every continent. Circoloco has staged events in New York, Miami, London, Milan, Paris, Amsterdam, Tel Aviv, Istanbul, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, and Melbourne.
Recent global highlights underscore the acceleration.
Thailand, January 2026. Two dates at Baba Beach Club Natai near Phuket, featuring Michael Bibi, Seth Troxler, Adriatique, Shanti Celeste and DJ Tennis. Running from 3 PM to 3 AM on Funktion-One systems.
Melbourne, January 2026. A return to The Nursery at Flemington with Adriatique, Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi and Jimi Jules, produced in partnership with Full Circle and Live Nation.
Madrid, February 2026. A fourth consecutive year at IFEMA Madrid, the Spanish capital's massive exhibition centre, reinforcing Circoloco's growing European footprint beyond Ibiza.
Mumbai, April 2026. The brand's India debut at Jio World Garden, headlined by Marco Carola, Michael Bibi, Chris Stussy, Mau P and Jamback. A landmark moment for the country's electronic scene.
Pyramids of Giza, November 2026. A return to Egypt for a 9-hour showcase at one of the Seven Wonders, running from 6 PM to 3 AM.

The 2026 Ibiza Season
The 27th Ibiza season opens on Monday, April 27, 2026 at DC-10. The opening lineup is designed to bridge generations. Keinemusik heavyweights &ME and Rampa, emotional deep techno master Dixon, and Circoloco institution Seth Troxler. Tania Vulcano returns to deliver the signature driving groove that has been the venue's heartbeat since day one.
The deeper roster includes Luciano, Call Super, Carlita, Palms Trax, Jimi Jules, Moxie, Beltran and Sossa. In their own words.
"We are immensely proud to announce the beginning of Ibiza 2026. It's incredible to experience this moment again with the same emotions as always. Because it's true. The energy of Ibiza never fades. And together with it, neither do we. Welcome to our 27th."
Beyond the Club. CircoLoco Records and Rockstar Games
In May 2021, Circoloco announced a partnership with Rockstar Games, the studio behind Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, to launch CircoLoco Records. The label's debut compilation, Monday Dreamin', featured contributions from Dixon, Carl Craig, Seth Troxler, Luciano, Kerri Chandler, Jamie Jones, Tale of Us and Sama' Abdulhadi.
The Rockstar connection brought Circoloco into gaming in a tangible way. GTA Online's Music Locker virtual nightclub featured resident DJs including Moodymann, Palms Trax and Keinemusik. Players could find four CircoLoco Records USB sticks scattered around Los Santos, unlocking exclusive EPs and a bonus Seth Troxler mix. An unusual move that exposed the Circoloco name to millions of gamers worldwide.
Since then, the label has continued to release forward-thinking dance music, with recent output from Prospa, Skream, Hiver, Jimi Jules and Sparrow & Barbossa.

Fashion and Lifestyle. No Soul For Sale
Circoloco's cultural reach extends well beyond music. The "No Soul For Sale" merchandise line has become a streetwear staple in club culture. More notably, the brand has collaborated multiple times with Off-White, the luxury label founded by the late Virgil Abloh. Their capsule collections, featuring co-branded logos with Circoloco's clown overlaid on Off-White's signature arrows, bridged high fashion and underground club identity.
As founder Antonio Carbonaro put it.
"We offer an experience and the world of fashion is attracted to this. Barriers have been demolished for years and the various worlds are observed and attracted."
Why Circoloco Still Matters
Twenty-seven years in, Circoloco's significance in the house and techno ecosystem goes beyond nostalgia. The brand continues to function as a curatorial gatekeeper. A stamp of credibility for emerging selectors and a rallying point for underground culture in an era of increasingly commercialised festivals.
Its expansion model is worth watching. Rather than chasing volume, Circoloco selects culturally resonant locations, the Pyramids of Giza, beachfront Phuket, Mumbai's Jio World Garden, and applies the same stripped-back, music-first formula that worked on DC-10's terrace in 1999.
For house heads, the upcoming Ibiza opening on April 27 marks the real start of the 2026 season.
The clown is calling.
The Garden is waiting.
