TELETECH's Kuala Lumpur debut gets her on September 25. The next night, she headlines MARQUEE Singapore. Two countries, two nights, one hard techno priestess.
MARQUEE Singapore has confirmed Sara Landry as a September headliner, playing Saturday, September 26. Nobody at the venue seems to have checked what she's doing the night before.
On Friday, September 25, the American producer headlines TELETECH's first-ever Malaysia show at XOX Arena in Kuala Lumpur, a date that sold out its early bird tier before local support was even announced. Twenty-four hours and one border later, she's back behind a booth in Singapore, on a standalone bill MARQUEE is billing as an uncompromising hard techno night in its own right. Read that again: Kuala Lumpur on Friday, Singapore on Saturday. Whoever built her routing for that weekend is either very confident in regional flight times or has never checked immigration queues at Changi on a Saturday night.
Two Capitals, One Weekend
Landry built her name on volume and control rather than novelty. HEKATE, the label she founded, has become shorthand for a specific strain of hard techno that treats the genre's harsher edges as songwriting material rather than shock value, and her Boiler Room debut set went on to become one of the year's most-streamed, north of six million views, on the strength of exactly that. Southeast Asia has mostly caught her in passing, on festival bills and one-off Pinkfish Festival dates in Malaysia. This is different: two dedicated headline slots, two promoters, two cities, one weekend, and neither show reads like a warm-up for the other. Her Singapore date isn't the only thing on MARQUEE's September calendar worth watching. The room's Astrolab series marks its third anniversary two weeks earlier, on September 12, with Dutch duo Blasterjaxx headlining. Landry's night runs separately, which if anything says more about her drawing power: MARQUEE didn't need to fold her into an anniversary bill to justify booking her. What It Means for the Region
Back-to-back headline bookings across two SEA capitals aren't unheard of, but they're rare enough at this level to say something about routing economics: flying a single act in for one date rarely pencils out once you account for fees and travel, so promoters increasingly coordinate, even without officially admitting to it.
