Every summer, the Istrian Peninsula in Croatia becomes a destination for underground electronic music lovers seeking something far removed from mainstream festival culture. This June, Lighthouse Festival returns to its beloved coastal home, running from June 3 to 7, 2026, at Lanterna Island in Tar, Croatia. The coastal gathering continues its tradition of blending underground electronic music with a holiday atmosphere, bringing together a carefully chosen mix of DJs and live acts from around the world.

For fans of house music in particular, the 2026 edition delivers one of the most compelling lineups the festival has put together in recent memory.

What is the Lighthouse Festival?

Over the past 12 years, the festival has grown beyond expectations, starting with the original vision of bringing the crew vibe of Vienna and Munich to the seaside. The concept still adheres to a specific intimate atmosphere, a unique and exclusive location on the Croatian Coast, and a dedicated boutique approach, representing the guiding principle of "electronic music on vacation." The organizers have since staged over 20 festivals across Europe and Africa, with offshoots in Cape Town and Zanzibar. The event now draws between 3,500 and 6000 attendes each day, with multiple stages spanning beachfron and club settings, combining afternoon sessions in the sun with intense late night dancefloor mo

Ian Pooley: A Pioneer Performing Live

One of the most anticipated highlights of the 2026 edition is the live set from Ian Pooley. He has been part of the underground from almost the moment house music arrived in Europe, helping to shape its direction over since. His approach to the genre has absorbed fresh influences over the years without ever compromising his signature sound.

A widely respected DJ, Pooley has performed at venues and festivals ranging from Panoramabar to Glastonbury and has toured extensively across North and South America, Asia, Canada, and Australia. His albums 'Meridian' and 'Since Then' stand as landmark releases in house music, and he remains one of a very small number of artists to have remixed Daft Punk and received the favour in return.

Chez Damier: A Founding Voice of Chicago House

Among the most historically significant names on the bill is Chez Damier. A legendary presence in electronic music, Chez Damier has witnessed many of the pivotal moments in the development of house and techno. Together with studio partner Ron Trent, he co-founded Prescription Records, widely regarded as one of the greatest house labels ever created, and he remains a true deep house pioneer. He also co-founded the celebrated Detroit nightclub the Music Institute alongside Derrick May and Alton Miller and oversaw the operations of Kevin Saunderson's KMS label. His inclusion at Lighthouse underlines the festival's commitment to honoring house music's foundational roots.

Eris Drew and the Ecstatic House Tradition

Another major draw for house fans is Eris Drew. A vinyl-only DJ, producer, and writer, her ecstatic house sets have captured imaginations around the world. Born out of Chicago's early rave scene, she channels what she calls the Motherbeat, a primordial rhythm connecting techno culture to ancient human ritual. She is also co-founder of the vinyl and cassette label T4T LUV NRG alongside Octa Octa.]]]]
