The Warehouse Project Just Made Manchester Essential

Solomun. Overmono. Tiësto's first Manchester show in 13 years. James Blake b2b Joy Orbison. The Warehouse Project 20th season just dropped and it is massive.

Twenty Years. One City. The Warehouse Project Announced Its Biggest Season Ever.

The Warehouse Project has announced its 2026 season as the internationally renowned Manchester club series celebrates 20 years since its groundbreaking debut at Boddington's Strangeways Brewery in 2006. Two decades of turning industrial spaces into some of the greatest dancefloor in the world. And for the anniversary, they aren't holding anything back.

"Reaching 20 years is a huge moment for us," WHP founders Sam Kandel and Richard McGinnis say. "The Warehouse Project has always been about progression and pushing the boundaries wherever possible. Since that first event when Public Enemy played the opening night at Boddingtons Brewery, we've always tried to keep things moving and respond as the music and culture around us has evolved.

The Anniversary Goes Way Beyond The Music

Before we even get to the lineup, the full anniversary programme deserves its own moment because WHP isn't just throwing parties to celebrate twenty years. They're doing something very special around it.

The celebration kicks off with the documentary Twenty Years in Manchester, directed by filmmaker Leigh Powis, which will be released on May 29. It features archival footage and interviews that showcase the evolution of UK dance music. Starting in July, there will be an outdoor art installation on Spinningfields boulevard, a historical podcast, and a print magazine exploring WHP's influence on Manchester's music scene, along with a compilation album released on WHP Records.

A documentary. An outdoor art exhibition in one of Manchester's most iconic public spaces. A podcast. A magazine. A compilation album. This isn't a club night celebrating itself. This is a cultural institution marking its place in the history of a city that has always taken its music more seriously than anywhere else in the UK.

Duke Dumont on October 24

Already sold out and its not hard to see why. Duke Dumont at Depot Mayfield is one of those bookings that makes complete sense the second you read it. The man behind Need U, I Got U, Won't Look Back, and Ocean Drive is one of the most reliable crowd movers in British electronic music, an artist whose records have soundtracked a generation of nights out and whose DJ sets translate every one of those records into something that hits even harder in the dark. The fact that this one sold out before most people even knew it was on says everything about where Duke Dumont sits in Manchester's heart right now.

The Apple Music Partnership

Select sets from the 2026 season will be streamed live for free via the newly launched Apple Music Club, with various sets also released exclusively on Apple Music. That means if you can't get to Manchester, certain nights go out to a global audience live. For a club series that has always been about the physical experience of being in the room, this is a bold move and exactly the kind of forward-thinking decision that has kept WHP relevant for twenty years.
