Marquee Singapore has filled its three-night F1 Race Weekend card with Diplo, a debuting Anyma and a Martin Garrix show that's already sold out online, one Friday after crosstown rival Zouk went the opposite direction with Argy.

Friday, October 9, two Singapore superclubs are opening Formula 1 weekend with opposite bets. Over at Zouk, Argy plays the newly-doubled Mainroom on pure melodic techno credibility. Across town at Marina Bay Sands, Marquee is opening with Diplo, three Grammys and a genre-hopping catalogue of house, hip-hop and pop, the kind of name that fills a room without anyone needing to know what CDJs are.

That's the split that defines Marquee's three-night Race Weekend program, confirmed by DJ Mag and Marquee's own booking pages: Diplo opens Friday, Anyma makes his first-ever Singapore appearance Saturday, and Martin Garrix closes Sunday to a show that's already sold out online, according to Bandwagon, with only door tickets left. Saturday's slot sat unannounced for weeks, long enough that Bandwagon called it "a particularly interesting blank space," before Marquee filled it with the one booking that actually reads as a scene statement.

The Anyma Booking Is the One That Matters

Diplo and Garrix are safe, proven draws for a weekend built around tourists with race tickets and expense accounts. Anyma is the interesting swing. He's Matteo Milleri's solo project out of Tale Of Us, the act that became the first electronic artist to hold a residency at the Las Vegas Sphere, where his End of Genesys show pulled more than 200,000 people across 12 dates. He headlined Coachella 2026 with a new production called ÆDEN, and played a sold-out show at the Pyramids of Giza in 2025. None of that happened in a 1,966-capacity nightclub. Marquee is betting its 20-metre, 8K screen and Funktion-One rig can shrink a Sphere-scale show down to club size without losing what makes it work, and this is his first chance to try it in Singapore.

A Club That's Climbing, Not Coasting

Marquee isn't winging this. It jumped 34 spots to No. 39 on DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs 2025 list, and the magazine credits the room with roughly 186,000 guests across 138 shows in 2024, hosting names like Alok, Sara Landry and Timmy Trumpet along the way. Sara Landry plays the same room on September 26, a standalone hard techno bill with none of the F1-weekend spectacle, so this isn't a venue that only shows up for the big tourist weekends. Race Weekend is just the one where it spends the most.

What This Says About the Weekend

Singapore's Grand Prix runs October 9-11 at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, its first-ever Sprint weekend, which means three days of a city already full of people with disposable income and nowhere they have to be until qualifying. Zouk read that crowd as an opportunity to book something credible and let word of mouth do the rest. Marquee read it as an opportunity to book the biggest names still available and let the marquee, no pun intended, do the work. Both are probably right about their own rooms. Neither approach is subtle, but subtlety was never really the point of F1 weekend in the first place.
